The China Chamber of Commerce in the EU and global management consulting firm Roland Berger jointly released an annual report on the development of Chinese enterprises in the EU on the 12th.
The report believes that despite facing macroeconomic pressures and complex business environments in the European market, Chinese companies in the EU still show resilience and the overall development momentum is improving.
The report shows that more than 80% of the companies surveyed stated that their operating conditions will be stable or improved in 2024. Among them, 53% of the companies surveyed said that their revenue in the EU has increased, and 12% have achieved significant growth; from a profit perspective, 40% of the companies surveyed reported that profits will increase in 2024.
The Chinese companies interviewed are generally optimistic about their business conditions in 2025, and expected growth has become the mainstream. 62% of the companies surveyed expect revenue to grow in 2025. The profit dimension also shows a positive trend, with 46% of the companies surveyed expecting profits to increase in 2025, and 39% expecting them to remain stable. Chinese companies in the EU highly recognize the long-term value of the EU market.
The report points out that in the context of the complex global geopolitical landscape and the accelerating reshaping of supply chains, relevant parties should uphold the concept of win-win cooperation and persist in responding to challenges through cooperation.
Liu Jiandong, President of the China Chamber of Commerce in the European Union, said in a speech at the press conference that for Chinese companies, the European market has surpassed the traditional export market positioning and has increasingly become the source of technological innovation and the core area for global brand touchstones and standard docking.
Dai Pu, co-president of the Roland Berger Global Management Committee, said in a video speech that Chinese companies developing in Europe need to take advantage of China's advantages, such as manufacturing scale, rapid innovation capabilities and strong supply chains, and at the same time need to have a deeper understanding of the preferences of European customers.
