The theme of this year's ASEAN Expo is "Empowering development through digital intelligence, innovation leading the future - using new opportunities in the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone 3.0 version to help build a community with a shared future." During the five-day meeting, a number of economic and trade promotion activities will be held around trade and investment facilitation, regional economic integration, cross-border production and supply chain cooperation, and institutional opening.
The total exhibition area of the 22nd East China Expo is about 160,000 square meters. More than 3,200 companies from 60 countries participated in the exhibition. The main venue of Nanning and Guilin Tourism Exhibition Area are set up to display the latest achievements of China's cooperation with ASEAN countries. The main venue has newly established exhibition areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) hall, new quality productivity hall, blue economy, and foreign trade products. Among them, the proportion of high-tech exhibits in China's exhibition area has increased significantly; the exhibits in ASEAN countries have transformed from traditional industries to high-tech, and about 30% of ASEAN exhibitors or products have made their debut at the ASEAN Expo; the "Belt and Road" international exhibition area includes 33 countries including Pakistan, South Korea, and New Zealand.
AI is not only the theme of this year's East China International Fair, but also the biggest highlight. This year, AI empowers the entire preparation process for the first time in the ASEAN Expo, creating a vivid application scenario for AI in the vertical field of the exhibition industry; AI or AI empowering exhibits in China's exhibition area account for more than 50%, including a batch of high-end products and products that meet the market needs of ASEAN countries; the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Ministers Forum will be held for the first time during the conference to promote the establishment of a normalized high-level dialogue mechanism.
In order to serve and promote the construction of the 3.0 version of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone, this year's ASEAN Expo will release the blue book "China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation Outlook Report", inviting expert think tanks to interpret the 3.0 version in a special chapter to help enterprises learn first and seize opportunities; at the same time, they will hold China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation Dialogue activities to guide enterprises to take the lead in connecting in key areas and seize business opportunities.
In addition, 15 new product debuts will be held during the meeting, and nearly 70 major products with market potential will be released; multiple economic and trade supporting activities will be held for countries co-constructed by Indonesia and Malaysia and related provinces such as Indonesia and Malaysia; the special invitation partner mechanism of the Promotion of Trade and Economic Affairs of China was established for the first time, and more than 80 economic and trade exchange activities will be held, and more than 100 major investment projects such as digital economy and green economy and a large number of trade orders are expected to be signed.
On the morning of September 17, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng attended the opening ceremony of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit in Nanning, Guangxi and delivered a speech.
