China's industrial added value above designated size actually increased by 6.3% year-on-year from January to February
From January to February 2026, China's industrial added value above designated size actually increased by 6.3% year-on-year (the added value growth rate is the actual growth rate after deducting price factors). From a month-on-month perspective, in February, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 0.83% compared with the previous month.
Divided into three categories, from January to February, the added value of the mining industry increased by 6.1% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 6.6%, and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 4.7%.
In terms of economic types, from January to February, the added value of state-controlled enterprises increased by 4.2% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 6.9%; foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 4.0%; private enterprises increased by 7.4%.
Looking at different industries, from January to February, the added value of 35 of the 41 major industries increased year-on-year. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry increased by 7.2%, the oil and natural gas mining industry increased by 5.8%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry increased by 6.1%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry increased by 4.3%, the textile industry increased by 5.3%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 7.6%, the non-metallic mineral products industry increased by 2.5%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 2.2%, and the non-ferrous metal smelting and pressing industry increased by 7.2%. The extension industry increased by 3.9%, the general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.9%, the special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.8%, the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 3.4%, the railway, shipbuilding, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry increased by 13.7%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.7%, the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry increased by 14.2%, and the electricity, heat production and supply industry increased by 5.1%.
In terms of products, from January to February, the output of 397 out of 626 products in industries above designated size increased year-on-year. Among them, 221.19 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%; 178.27 million tons of cement, an increase of 6.8%; 13.42 million tons of ten non-ferrous metals, an increase of 3.9%; 6.6 million tons of ethylene, an increase of 5.1%; 4 automobiles 024,000 units, a decrease of 9.9%, including 1.604 million new energy vehicles, a decrease of 13.7%; power generation capacity was 1,571.8 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 4.1%; crude oil processing capacity was 122.63 million tons, an increase of 2.9%.
From January to February, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 95.4%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1 percentage points; industrial enterprises above designated size achieved an export delivery value of 2.405 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 6.3% year-on-year.
