In December 2025, the added value of industries above designated size actually increased by 5.2% year-on-year (the added value growth rate is the actual growth rate after deducting price factors). From a month-on-month perspective, in December, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 0.49% compared with the previous month. In 2025, the added value of industries above designated size will increase by 5.9% compared with the previous year.
Divided into three categories, in December, the added value of the mining industry increased by 5.4% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 5.7%, and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 0.8%.
In terms of economic types, in December, the added value of state-controlled enterprises increased by 3.9% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 5.8%; foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 2.7%; private enterprises increased by 4.2%.
Looking at different industries, in December, the added value of 33 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry increased by 6.4%, the oil and natural gas mining industry increased by 3.7%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry increased by 3.2%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry decreased by 0.5%, the textile industry increased by 3.7%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 8.0%, the non-metallic mineral products industry increased by 0.2%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 0.7%, and the non-ferrous metal smelting and pressing industry increased by 0.7%. The extension industry increased by 4.8%, the general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 7.5%, the special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.2%, the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 8.3%, the railway, shipbuilding, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.2%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry increased by 4.3%, the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry increased by 11.8%, and the electricity, heat production and supply industry increased by 1.1%.
In terms of products, in December, the output of 325 of the 623 products in industries above designated size increased year-on-year. Among them, 115.31 million tons of steel, a decrease of 3.8% year-on-year; 144.16 million tons of cement, a decrease of 6.6%; 7.21 million tons of ten non-ferrous metals, an increase of 4.9%; 3.56 million tons of ethylene, an increase of 3.0%; automobiles 3.412 million units, a decrease of 2.8%, including 1.791 million new energy vehicles, an increase of 8.7%; power generation capacity was 858.6 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 0.1%; crude oil processing capacity was 62.46 million tons, an increase of 5.0%.
In December, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 98.2%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7 percentage points; industrial enterprises above designated size achieved an export delivery value of 1,493.2 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 3.2% year-on-year.
