The world's first commercial supercritical carbon dioxide generator set was successfully put into commercial operation
China National Nuclear Corporation learned that the world's first commercial supercritical carbon dioxide power generation unit was successfully commercialized, which means that for the first time in the world, supercritical carbon dioxide power generation technology has been pushed from the laboratory to commercial implementation.
The world's first commercial supercritical carbon dioxide generator set is the "Super Carbon No. 1" located in Liupanshui, Guizhou, China. As an innovative thermoelectric conversion technology, "Super Carbon One" heats and pressurizes liquid carbon dioxide into a supercritical state to drive a generator to generate electricity.
According to reports, compared with the currently used sintering waste heat steam power generation technology, the power generation efficiency of "Super Carbon One" can be increased by more than 85%, and the site requirements can be reduced by 50%. Based on the original power generation, it can generate more than 70 million kilowatt-hours more per year.
