China imported 46,200 tons of stainless steel from Indonesia, a decrease of 39,000 tons month-on-month, a decrease of 45.77%, and a decrease of 49,600 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 51.77%. Among them, the import volume of hot rolling was 17,400 tons, a month-on-month increase of 29.85%, and a year-on-year increase of 7.41%; the import volume of cold rolling was 24,500 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 21,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 46.39%; the decrease of 8,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26.43%; the import volume of slabs was 1,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 11,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 91.74%; the decrease of 19,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 965.19%; the import volume of square billets and other steel billets was 3,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 77.14%; the decrease of 22,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 87.45%.

Among them: the total import volume of hot coils was 116,200 tons, a decrease of 5,300 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 4.36%; the import volume of cold rolling was 508,800 tons, a decrease of 17,300 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 3.29%; the import volume of square billets and other steel billets was 114,600 tons (including 67,300 tons of square billets and 47,200 tons of slabs), a decrease of 289,700 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 71.65%.

In July 2025, China's stainless steel exports were 416,200 tons, an increase of 26,300 tons month-on-month, an increase of 6.74%; an increase of 5,700 tons year-on-year, an increase of 1.39%.

In July 2025, China's net stainless steel exports were 343,200 tons, an increase of 62,700 tons month-on-month, an increase of 22.37%; an increase of 52,300 tons year-on-year, an increase of 18%.

From January to July 2025, China's total net stainless steel exports were 2.0159 million tons, an increase of 468,000 tons year-on-year, an increase of 30.23%.

From January to July, China's total nickel ore imports were 19.7869 million tons, an increase of 0.88% year-on-year.

In July 2025, China's nickel ore imports were 5.0057 million tons, an increase of 659,100 tons month-on-month, an increase of 15.16%; an increase of 1.5206 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 43.63%. Among them, there are 4.9786 million tons of laterite nickel ore and 27,100 tons of nickel sulfide ore. 4.6821 million tons of laterite nickel ore were imported from the Philippines, accounting for 93.53% of the import volume this month. The volume of laterite nickel ore imported from the Philippines was 4.6821 million tons, an increase of 629,700 tons month-on-month, an increase of 15.54%, and an increase of 1.408,700 tons year-on-year, an increase of 43.03%.

From January to July 2025, China's total nickel ore imports were 19.7869 million tons, an increase of 172,400 tons year-on-year, an increase of 0.88%. Among them, the volume of laterite nickel ore imported from the Philippines was 17.4258 million tons, an increase of 188,400 tons year-on-year, an increase of 1.09%.

Among them, the volume of nickel iron imported from Indonesia was 814,000 tons, a decrease of 203,800 tons month-on-month, a decrease of 20.02%; an increase of 21,400 tons year-on-year, an increase of 2.7%.

From January to July 2025, China's total nickel iron imports were 6.3932 million tons, an increase of 1.2443 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 24.16%. Among them, the import volume of nickel iron from Indonesia was 6.236 million tons, an increase of 1.277 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 25.7%.

From January to July, China's total refined nickel imports were 132,800 tons, an increase of 189.27% ​​year-on-year.

In July 2025, China's refined nickel exports were 15,545.572 tons, an increase of 5,403 tons month-on-month, an increase of 53.27%; an increase of 515 tons year-on-year, an increase of 3.43%. The import volume of refined nickel was 38,164.223 tons, an increase of 21,154 tons month-on-month, an increase of 124.36%; an increase of 33,919 tons year-on-year, an increase of 798.94%.

From January to July 2025, China's cumulative total exports of refined nickel were 104,276.609 tons, an increase of 45,752 tons year-on-year, an increase of 78.18%. The total cumulative import of refined nickel was 132,829.17 tons, an increase of 86,911 tons year-on-year, an increase of 189.27%.

From January to July, China's chromium ore imports were 11.9063 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.07%.

In July 2025, China's total imports of chromium ore were 1.9749 million tons, an increase of 334,500 tons month-on-month, an increase of 20.39%, and an increase of 171,800 tons year-on-year, an increase of 9.53%. Among them, the import of chromium ore from South Africa was 1.6171 million tons, an increase of 249,400 tons month-on-month, a slowdown of 18.23%, and a year-on-year increase of 141,600 tons, a growth of 9.6%. The import of chromium ore from Türkiye was 83,000 tons, an increase of 26,300 tons month-on-month, an increase of 46.38%, and a decrease of 7,700 tons year-on-year, an decrease of 8.49%. Imports from Kazakhstan were 604,100 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 178,700 tons, a decrease of 22.83%. Imports from Zimbabwe were 161,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 43,900 tons, a decrease of 21.38%.

From January to July, China's cumulative imports of manganese ore were 17.217 million tons, an increase of 5.23% year-on-year.

In July 2025, the total import volume of manganese ore was 2.745 million tons, an increase of 2.23% month-on-month and 19.61% year-on-year. Among them: the amount of manganese ore imported from South Africa was 1.3647 million tons, a decrease of 13.8% month-on-month and a decrease of 3.94% year-on-year. Imports of 406,900 tons from Australia, an increase of 81.37% month-on-month and 383.71% year-on-year.

From January to July, China imported a total of 17.2028 million tons, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year. Among them: the cumulative import volume from South Africa was 9.2194 million tons, an increase of 6.7% year-on-year. The cumulative import volume from Australia was 922,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 46.66%.

China's cumulative imports of scrap stainless steel increased by 2.52% from January to July

In July 2025, China's scrap stainless steel imports were 7245.727 tons, an increase of 1923.357 tons year-on-year, an increase of 36.14%; a decrease of 1795.756 tons month-on-month, a decrease of 19.86%.

From January to July 2025, the cumulative domestic import of scrap stainless steel was 61,727.753 tons, an increase of 1,515.30 tons year-on-year, an increase of 2.52%.
