China's production of pig iron, crude steel and steel from January to July

1. Pig iron

In July 2025, the production of pig iron was 70.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.4%, and the average daily production of pig iron was 2.284 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 4.7%;

From January to July, pig iron production was 505.83 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%.

2. Coarse steel

In July 2025, crude steel output was 79.66 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.0%. In July, the average daily output of crude steel was 2.569 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 7.4%;

From January to July, crude steel production was 594.47 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%.

3. Steel

In July 2025, the steel output was 122.95 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. In July, the average daily steel output was 3.966 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 6.9%;

From January to July, steel production was 860.47 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
