China's steel production and import - export volume in the first quarter
In March:
(a) In March 2025, China's crude steel output was 92.84 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%.
(b) The output of pig iron was 75.29 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.
(c) The output of steel products was 134.42 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%.
(d) In March, China exported 10.456 million tons of steel products, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.
(e) In March, China imported 501,000 tons of steel products, a year-on-year decrease of 18.8%.

(d) The cumulative export of steel products from January to March was 27.429 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
(e) The cumulative import of steel products from January to March was 1.55 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%.
(b) The output of pig iron was 216.28 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%.
(c) The output of steel products was 358.74 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%.
(d) The cumulative export of steel products from January to March was 27.429 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
